How to Flash Sony Xperia Firmware Using Newflasher
Step-by-step bench guide to flashing Sony Xperia official stock firmware using Newflasher in Flashmode. Restore bricked devices and update partition images.

Complete ALL items before proceeding. Skipping any step increases the risk of bricking your device.
Guide Steps
Ensure your downloaded Sony firmware is fully unpacked into a folder. You should see multiple .sin files (such as boot.sin, system.sin, or super.sin).
Copy newflasher.exe (and accompanying DLL files if provided) directly into that same folder alongside the firmware files.
simlock.ta. Newflasher automatically handles trim area partitions safely when left in its default configuration.For a clean restore or unbrick (recommended), leave the folder untouched. Newflasher will flash userdata.sin and wipe the device.
If you are performing an update and wish to preserve user files, delete or move userdata.sin out of the folder before running the tool.
Power off the Sony Xperia completely and wait 10 seconds.
Press and hold the Volume Down button on the phone while connecting the USB cable to your PC.
Release the button when the notification LED lights up green (or device vibrates and screen stays dark).
Double-click newflasher.exe (or open a terminal in the folder and type newflasher.exe).
The tool will initialize communication with the S1 bootloader. If prompted:
- Optional GordonGate driver dump: Type
nand press Enter. - Optional TA partition backup: Type
n(oryif you wish to archive your trim area).
Newflasher will immediately begin parsing and writing partition headers and payload files.
The tool will output real-time verification messages for each partition (boot, dsp, modem, oem, product, super, system).
When flashing finishes, Newflasher prints: End of flash session successfully!
Unplug the USB cable from the Xperia handset.
Hold the Power button until the device vibrates to initiate boot. The first boot sequence typically takes 3–5 minutes as partition caches rebuild.
